MAKING MAPS

OATHS BROKEN

I originally created my fantasy novel's island and lands on Bristol Paper using Prisma Markers, Prisma Color Pencils and Pigma Ink Pens. I saved the original artwork and then I made several copies. Now I can mark and paste images all over the copies without worry.

This MAP image demonstrates how I layed out the various Castles I invision for my novel. Some are grand and represent wealth and power while others are more simple and reflect other lifestyles. If I had the time I would DRAW everything and eventually will. I don't want to copy these REAL castles 100% but for now they serve me in giving me visual aid and inspiration.
I also created another MAP with this same image but covered it in landscape clippings and scenes to apply settings into and help me create scenerios. From waterfalls, brooks, plains, grasslands, meadows, rocky cliffs and sea-side imagery. I want to shrink down and escape into the beautiful world I know exists in my imagination that is coming to life on paper!
